Me, at The Last Bookstore in Los Angeles, CA.
Hi! I’m Rhosean Asmah, /ˌɹoʊˈʃɔn ˈæzˌmə/.
I’m a third-year PhD student in linguistics at UC Berkeley. Questions that interest me relate to phonetics, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and their various intersections. My advisors are Keith Johnson and Nicole Holliday, and I’ve also worked with Andrew Garrett. Before Berkeley, I worked on child sentence processing with Yi Ting Huang at the University of Maryland’s Language and Cognition Lab.
Outside of linguistics, I mostly do art, bake, read fiction, try to read nonfiction, and go to concerts.
This is my CV and this is my email.
